Goal: Attractive accommodations for the care team ensure satisfaction and resilience and meets the needs of the increase in personnel
Target group: Nursing staff
Many of the approximately 540 employees come from other regions of Haiti. They are therefore given accommodation on the HAS campus. 36 buildings have become dilapidated after all these years in the tropical climate. These are the residential units for the nursing staff, where the roofs, some of the bricklaying and painting work and the electricity are being replaced. Sanitary facilities are installed in kitchens and bathrooms as needed. The renovation will also create living space for the recently increased number of staff. Through the renovation, we aim to counter the shortage of skilled workers by offering potential staff appealing housing options. SPHASH is financing this project, which is already underway with a budget of USD 165,000.
