Land Cruiser

Objective: Transportation of patients and deliveries of medication and materials are carried out efficiently and on time
Target group: Patients from the Tienne catchment area and the mobile clinics

The vehicle currently in use is overloaded and causes delays in deliveries and transportation. SPHASH has therefore decided to finance a new cruiser. This Japanese pick-up for 12 passengers has proven itself in the non-profit sector. The cost, including shipping, is USD 60,000.

Thanks to the new emergency vehicle, the medical team can reach people in the Tienne area more quickly and flexibly, including through mobile clinics. Emergency referrals and the distribution of supplies can now be carried out reliably – even in remote villages.

And when the situation becomes truly critical, the vehicle ensures the safe transport of seriously ill and injured patients to the referral hospital (HAS). In this way, help and hope reach exactly where they are needed most.

Cruiser ready for deployment

The new Land Cruiser from Japan has made its way to Deschapelles and is now ready for use by Tienne and the mobile clinics. This ensures fast and efficient care for patients, even in hard-to-reach regions.
